Soup’s On!

It’s back to school time, and I thought it would be good to share a few basic cooking ideas for those of us looking to get involved more in the kitchen at home. Fall to me always means comfort food, and there isn’t anything more comforting (while still being moderately healthy) than soup. Here’s a few great looking soups that I stumbled across when I searched “cook healthy like a top chef.”

Do yourself a favor and 86 the Swanson chicken broth and make your own stock or broth. It’s so damn easy and so damn worth it.

  1. runningbysheds said: But doesn’t that involve roasting a chicken, cleaning the bones, boiling, peeling, cooling them, etc? Isn’t a Swanson cube easier? or a CAN of Campbells’s broth? I agree, I love making soup. If there’s an easier way to make your own broth, I want to know it!
